Get Money Back
Payday lenders have been giving loans to people who couldn't afford them. And they still added sky-high interest and other charges.
If you think this affects you, you have the right to make a complaint and ask for a refund of charges and interest. This applies even if you’ve paid the loan off. No matter how long ago it was.
We are not a claims-management company. Debt Hacker is a free service and we make no profit. We do not act on your behalf, we empower you to get your voice heard.
Since launching in October 2018, Debt Hacker has made over 10,000 complaints against payday lenders, with a total loan value of over £5,000,000.
With Debt Hacker, you get to keep 100% of your refund and most people are successful with their complaints.
“Very impressed at the ease with which I was able to use your website as a means of complaining. The fact it is fee-free is brilliant as I have paid claims management companies in the past. Many thanks!”
James received a refund of £270 and had the loan removed from his credit file after making a complaint through Debt Hacker.
If you think you were mis-sold a loan
If you have taken out a payday loan and it was tough to pay back, the loan might have been unaffordable. You have the right to complain and ask for money back from the lender. If you do, you may also be able to get the loan wiped from your credit file.
This will not hurt your credit rating.
Your complaint is likely to succeed if:
the lender offered you any loans without making checks, if you had multiple payday loans or if you had to borrow elsewhere to pay off the loan.
you struggled to pay other bills (such as council tax, rent and electricity) or if you went without food to pay the loan back.
you were unable to pay the loan back within a month, your loan amounts kept increasing or you were late with payments.
Many of those who have complained have been paid back hundreds of pounds. Your refund could include all the interest on the loan, as well as any fees or charges.
You've got a good chance of being accepted. For example, 3 out of 4 complaints against Wonga were successful.
